To prevent human exposure to mercury through the virtual elimination of mercury emissions in New England by 2010.

To induce companies to accelerate substitution of safer chemicals in consumer products by building the business case and generating investor demand for eliminating toxic chemicals that affect human health.

To use biomonitoring as a scientific tool that protects human and ecosystem health and informs chemicals policy.
